We are in the process of purchasing an off-plan apartment in the canton of Geneva. According to the
Notaires de Genève for the promise of sale and purchase "promesse de vente et achat" we already need to pay around 5,000 swiss francs in taxes, registry and the notary fees.
I have two questions about this:
- Will these 5,000 be considered later on when we sign the final sale? or is this a separate, additional fee?
- The sales manager says that this fee of 5,000 should also be impacted by the CASATAX, but all the information I have found is the CASATAX discount on the final sale. Would the tax (around 50% of these 5,000) be reduced already? or is the full discount applied only on the date of the sale?
