garden waste

Hi, I want to know if anyone knows of a garden waste pickup service in the Nyon VAUD area? We have a lot of it and find it difficult to get to the local déchetterie when it's open. In Australia we had a bag service (they install a bag which they pickup weekly/when it's over half full) and install a new one. So convenient and efficient! Has anyone heard of that kind of servcie here in VAUD?

Thanks, and happy gardening!

I resist the temptation to parody this post

Nevertheless, there is a déchetterie in Signy that has an area behind the main collection area that is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week where you can leave your cut grass - but not left in bags, must be dumped into an area where there is already grass mounds

That déchetterie is restricted to the residents of the five communes that support it, including mine. It is money loosing.

Looks to me like you can use green bags:

For recycling items, yes but there are no posted restrictions for the grass disposal that is open & unsupervised

It is mentioned on their websites. But it is definitely not available 24/7. It is available during the limited opening hours of the déchetterie and Saturday afternoons.

Use it at your own risk, but remember I’m paying for your costs.

Re: garden waste

My community picks garden waste weekly during the gardening season (march->october) in green wheelie bins. They used to charge. Now it's free.
