tax costs of selling a house a year after purchase

hello! just thought id ask here really, although i will look around a bit too

so anyway, like a year ago i bought a house here for give or take a million francs. ownership is split 50/50 between a c permit and a b permit. so ... now i might sell the house, maybe anyway, but for example i know that there are extra taxes for selling houses within a certain time after purchase, and as far as i know, maybe other taxes that would apply to my situation that i would have to pay.

does anyone here please know the details of these extra taxes?

then i can figure out how much id need to sell up for and break even/make profit.

THANKS FOR ANY HELP

The taxes are based on profit, so if you don't make any no tax to pay.

You can deduct refurbishments that add value. (As opposed to maintenance).

Plus buying & selling casts, only PROFIT is taxable.

Re: tax costs of selling a house a year after purchase

Please bear in mind, if you are regarded as selling at a profit, the appropriate tax is increased in the first two years of ownership as follows (flipping disincentive):

-applicable rate increased by 50% if owned less than a year on date of sale
-applicable increased by 25% if owned less than two years on date of sale

It's in the document on Page 1 linked by FMF, after the first paragraph.
