It's been a while since anyone's written on this topic; I'm looking for specific recommendations if they're out there.

We have a small house that's new to us and needs reno top to bottom. Mostly cosmetic -- 160 sq meters new floors, resurface (remove popcorn) from walls, rework kitchen (removing 1 very small partition wall), sand & paint old dark wood doors, resurface fireplace...

Hopefully you get the idea. We already have somebody great for bathrooms.

Does anyone have great handwerkers for this stuff? Is that an oxymoron here?
We're really looking for a general contractor; I know they don't seem to exist here.
Has anyone had great luck in this area? We just want to get this done. Thank you.
