Which lamp cable goes where?

Hello again and sorry for the silly questions. My new lamp cables and the socket cables donít match in color so wanted to ask which one goes with which ...

Please find below a photo of the lamp and socket cables. Blue with blue is clear but donít know which one goes for the lampís brown one ...

Step 0) Green-Yellow is Earth, Blue is neutral, other colors are (switched) line. (Current standard http://toolbox.electrosuisse.ch/_fil...gen_Teil_4.pdf)

Step 1) Remove the LŁstenklemmen (terminal block) at the lamp side.

Step 2) Press the thingy on the blue wire and insert the blue lamp wire.

Step 3) Press the thingy on the pink wire and insert the brown lamp wire.

Personally I would always test with an electrical screwdriver.

1. Depending on the age of the circuit, apart from green / green & yellow being earth, the other colours are not very reliable.

2. Even if the colours should be correct, don't assume they are - particularly on light circuits where the previous tenant could have mixed them up at an earlier point in the circuit.

3. If you check first, then if your light doesn't work you don't have to take it down to check again (at least on the live feed).
