Temporary housing and Permit-B holder

Is temporary housing accepted for a B permit holder? I have currently a time limited contract mietvertrag which I provided to the local municipality but as it ends I would like to find another temporary housing/time limited contract until we will decide if and when my family will come.

My question is if only a hosting which provides an mietvertrag is accepted when on a Permit-B?

Re: Temporary housing and Permit-B holder

When I moved here, I was using for:
1 week room in long stay hotel
3 weeks room in WG over Air b'nb
6 weeks room in WG direct contract
......
I was always informing Migrationsamt about the change of address, and yes, my residence permit was somehow lagging behind, but finally I got when I moved to another.
......
you need to send / show the contract with landlord / agency / company

Re: Temporary housing and Permit-B holder

Is your permit an open B? If not, once your contract ends then you can't stay here. Your permit is tied to your job and once that finishes so does the permit which gives you the right to live/work here.

Re: Temporary housing and Permit-B holder

It's an open permit as far I can tell since I don't see the company name on it.

My question is if I need to always ask if the temporary housing company will sign with me the mietvertrag? Not sure if they provide this by default ie. on AirBnb you need to ask the host and some say they don't.

And maybe a second question, if there is any issue with migration if I choose to pay a bit more and stay in a temporary housing for one-two years? Or if I provide the mietvertrag it's fine?

Even when I rent a rustico in Valle di Maggia for a weekend I get "mietvetrag", if you are in doubt, tell them that you are going to use this as your place of residence while you are living there. You will see if they object. With whomever you rent, he/she/it should provide you a contract.
