Re: Construction costs for Minergie...

So here is where I stand with my discovery...

Baufritz is 4500chf per sq meter + additional costs like foundation, digging, etc.. They are sending me guidance for something in the 160sq to 170sq meter range, bungalow w/no basement. I like them since they do CLT which where everyone should be heading anyway. There are of course local suppliers who do CLT, but I feel confident that baufritz will make a nice execution if you want turnkey.

The previous builder at 3500chf starting price, isn't yet clear what you get for this price... I remain skeptical of course...

We continue to look for land.. Seems the going rate is about 250chf sq meter, sometimes 300chf sq meter for something better.. I think when it's all said and done it's going to be 300k for land and 800k for the house...

We have some debate with the wife.. Building new miniergie-p house will retain/gain value better over the longer term vs buying old and doing a refurb... I'm rather for the build new thinking.. I hate to buy old and then discover many surprises..

Thanks for the good info... I like they have some good projects under their belt.. I always seem to bump into builders/consultants who are just starting out.. Thus far, I have negative experiences with that so far.. Or I rather just control the start to finish with a bauleiter perhaps..
