Ending lease early

Hello all

We have been in our rental property for close to three years now and it was a 2+1 contract. We are looking to end the contract a month early, so 2 years and 11 months.

Im wondering, aside from the formalities of the contract (i.e. in this case the year should be served) im not sure of the local customs / culture around these matters.

Can you advise if its common that landlords are flexible and not too concerned, or should we not request this?

Many thanks
James

No, you need to pay the final month unless you find a willing person who can afford the rent to take over early.

Re: Ending lease early

You need to ask. There are some situations where the landlord would like to take possession a month early. But there is no obligation that they do.

Best thing is to talk to them, avoiding the regie if you can.
