Emergency Plumber Fees

Had to call the regie approved company to fix a leaking sink during the weekend.

No fault of our own. Just started losing copious amount of water in the kitchen.

I am afraid the regie is going to say that it not a pre-approved intervention and are going to ask us to pay the bill.

Any previous experiences or suggestions?

I suggest you write a brief letter, without much detail at all, address it simultaniously to both the plumber and the regie, and state that through no fault of your own there was a leak in the kitchen and that, since you could not reach the regie because it was weekend, you called in this plumber, as their approved supplier. If the plumber did, in fact, fix the problem properly, thank them for that.

You are right that such labour is, in general, supposed to be pre-approved by the regie, and so it is possible that the regie will say just what you fear. Whether or not you are called on to pay any part of the costs might pivot upon whether or not the matter was urgent, such that it could not wait until Monday. Emergency repairs are deemed to be a good idea especially when they prevent further damage. You might be asked what steps you took to try to minimise the damage, or whether you could, for example, just have turned off the tap and stopped trying to use water in the kitchen, and instead fetched water from the bathroom, at least until Monday. On the other hand, if the water was leaking in from a burst pipe elsewhere in the building, then there is nothing mch you could have done to fix or minimise the problem.

I suggest that you document everything, and keep those notes for later, in case questions are asked.

If you are asked to cover the costs because you didn't obtain pre-approval, try to negotiate that you would pay only the weekend surcharge, especially if the actual work would definitely have needed to be done, even if only later during the week.

In the best case, the plumber and the regie will have a good arrangement, and you won't see anything of the charges. Even so, I wouldn't wait, but just inform the regie, briefly, as set out above.
