| | Looking to buy a Relax Armchair and looking at Schubiger Möbel... any other tips?
After a long time of not sitting in peak comfort and getting back pains with low-end chairs, I made my mind up to buy something worthy of my back and ambled along to Schubiger Moebel the other day to try a ton of relax armchairs. After an hour or more of consideration I settled upon this beauty as my favourite (it comes in various colours):
Relax Shepperton Gross https://www.schubiger.ch/shop/wohnen...pparton-gross/ | Quote: | | | | | | | | | It is a manual relax mechanism (important to have no wires as it will be moved around a lot) and super comfortable, luxurious even. You would maybe expect that as a given for 1750chf, but a lot of the others I tried were often far more expensive and far less comfortable. It was also very solid and well made. Schubiger also provide free delivery and assembly built into the price which is more than many other stores do. However, I am of course open to other options... so does anyone please have any tips for relax armchairs that are: - Super comfortable and supportive
- Manual relax function (not electric)
- Integrated footrest (not a separate stool hocker)
- No more than 2000chf
- Available in a Zürich showroom for me to go and look and and sit in before buying
Cheers.

I don't know of any other chairs to try, but, for what it's worth, I think that is a nice looking chair and a great price. I would be surprised if you could do better. I was looking for one, but I wanted leather and that puts the price up considerably. I am going to the Glatt center today and might go and have a look at that.

Pfister have several models of Stressless chairs in that price range, my favorites are nearly double that but would give them a sit just for comparison sake

However I do think it's worth paying them a visit before I buy anything, just be sure there is nothing that fits my needs more there.

I don't know if you are familiar with this shop, https://www.möbelmärki.swiss/online-...=6&filter=Alle
I think this search rather confirms what a good price the Schubiger chair is, particularly as it is leather. I just assumed it wouldn't be based on price.

Why don't you want a footrest? I really like them. With a footrest you have a larger choice of sitting in different positions in the chair, if you are tired or your back aches.

Good for you if you like them though, gives you more choice!

Well guys today I went and bought the Relax Armchair from Schubiger in a dark brown configuration with some damn sexy walnut feet. I also bought a 3+2 sofa with electric relax function, which is the Allertown series. It's the right mix of soft leather with firm enough support, and the relax function is really, really comfortable compared to many other more expensive sofas https://www.schubiger.ch/shop/wohnen...ofa-allentown/
Won't be delivered for2-3 months but I will certainly look forward to some home cinema nirvana over the next years! |
