Anyone know of Furter homes?

Hello.
Has anyone heard of Furter homes? We have seen a stunning house plan to be built in Dornach are not so sure since it is "prefab".
Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Re: Anyone know of Furter homes?

I don't have information about that particular manufacturer but wanted to encourage you that using prefab construction methods doesn't necessarily mean that the house is of bad quality. In southern European countries only about 5% of homes are prefab but in Sweden and Finland the number is around 90%. Scandinavian prefab houses are generally of excellent quality, warm, and modern design.

I looked into house manufacturers who serve the Swiss market some time ago. Many seem to use prefab construction.

I love prefabs!! We were considering a Griffner but the cost of the land alone was just too expensive. I really want a container house. Most likely not in Switzerland though... I can't see it getting approved.

Re: Anyone know of Furter homes?

We have a prefab house back in the UK we self constructed - its brilliant; warm, cheap to construct, potentially more enviromentally freindly (depending on construction techniques, etc) and doesnt look any different to a conventional build...
