| Someone on the email was a bit more honest about the situation. That's all it is. It is private property therefore they can rent to whomever they want.
I meet 1/3 criteria easily, don't have pets, and no drum kit either . But estate agencies ignore me. I want to move and was searching for a while now, with little success. I would probably prefer if someone directly told me not to bother applying. It would save my time and I won't have empty hopes | |

Yes and no. All the flats in these buildings were being rented by this rental company, they arent privately owned (that said I dont know who owns them, I am assuming they are owned by large financial institution portfolios) and the message we got was no ukranians to view (ie not even being considered for rent) any of our properties. Your example is where you were evaluated, even if you did the evaluation yourself, and based on the evaluation (dont have pets for example) you are not accepted. They dont get to be evaluated based on their nationality.
But, your initial point ("Someone on the email was a bit more honest about the situation.") is correct. We have since met the "lady" that wrote that email, (it was a man on the phone). She is only 17 at most, maybe 16. One year out of Sek I would say. So I am glad I did not publically tweet or send her email to 20min.ch. That would have been awful. She is just repeating a message from above.
I am hoping this situation is resolved. I will come back in a week or two and post an update, especially to help others going through this with their ukranian guests. Fingers crossed.
