| | Tell me about Cham
My wife and I just discovered that our temporary accomodation for 3 months is in Cham. Does anyone live there or can anyone tell us about it? I can't find much information in English or many pictures.

Cham, surrounded by green hills, pretty much on the lake of Zug. Only a few minutes out of *the city* of Zug.
Nice, quiet, comfortable, safe, convenient if you're working in Zug, lots of expats and American accents to be heard.
You're good, nothing to worry about there. http://map.search.ch/cham | This user would like to thank gooner for this useful post:

My wife is working for Roche in Rotkreuz which is just down the road, so it seems to be very convenient for her.

Check out the SBB website for train and bus schedules.

Also, some of the InterRegios (Zug to Luzern) stop in Rotkreuz. Either way, its not something to worry about....and Cham is nice, swimming in the lake....while it's still warm.

in Zug. It is pretty nice.
I really don't believe that there is much to do in Cham, but Luzern, Zug,
and Zürich are all within 30 mins.

I don't know about Cham, ZG, but I can tell you all about The Great Cham: http://us.geocities.com/sschaeff/Sam...uctorypage.htm
(apropos nothing whatsoever, but I can't miss a plug for a fellow citizen of Lich when I can get one in) | This user would like to thank for this useful post:

You just wait, Argus will be along soon and tell you all about it. We can see it from our flat, I have visited too. It's a nice little place and very accessible from Zug etc.

There's a great italian restaurant in Cham - it's called Rialto. It's slightly east of the main Cham train station and right in front of the Zythus station. Their pizza is delicious and so is the pasta. Maybe I'll see you in there one night
There are plenty of other restaurants in the area too. Best to explore once you get here. My husband and I also lived in a temporary accomodation in Cham when we first arrived a few months ago. A lot of families. A "beach" nearby. We liked Cham a lot. Good luck!
