I am moving to Zurich in a couple of weeks and have managed to find an apartment on my own. I have seen the place and met the landlords and everything seems fine. He has sent me the contract and terms & conditions and it is all in German. I wonder if there is a company who can translate and check this for me and help with setting up the account for rental deposits etc. Is this account usually in my name or the landlords name? (or joint?)

A translation will cost you a fortune. I assume that you
are coming to work for a company here. Maybe the HR
company could help you with the translation.

The bank account is usually in your name, but you cannot
withdraw the money without consent from the landlord.
