Another cleaner question - how much is standard for one-off moving

I did a search and did find some useful threads but not quite what I was looking for.

How much do you reckon it should cost for me to get our house 180m2 clean for moving? Since it's a sale, not rental it doesn't have to be quite as perfect just close. So far I have been quoted 2255sfr. I know most agencies quotes per hour seem to be around 32+frs per hour and can't imagine it'll take more than a day.

So what have other people paid?

Many thanks

Kate

Re: Another cleaner question - how much is standard for one-off moving

Sorry, can't help with the possible price - large flat was too long ago. Small flat, the last one, I did myself.

If you have seen this Thread about 'final cleaning' of rented accomodation, especially post 79, you know why having it done professionally is so expensive. I certainly couldn't clean a house to that sort of standard in a week!
Is the price you gave per person per hour and the work done by a team - is that perhaps why the price is so high?

If I were selling and knew the buyer, I would anyway get in touch and ask if they intend to make any structural changes or do any decorating before or soon after moving in, before I made cleaning arrangements. It would be insane to have everything squeeky clean, just to be torn out a week later.

Even going out of a rented flat, we got in touch with the 'management' and suggested 'our' cleaning be done after the re-painting etc. had been completed. Unusual but it made more sense.

Sorry I can't help more.
