How to find single rooms in Switzerland?

Hello everyone! I will be moving from Lisbon to Thun next month, probably on the last week of June since I will start working on July 1st. At the moment, since I am not in Switzerland, I would prefer to stay at a single room in Thun, so that from there I can have time to search for an apartment. I would be grateful if someone could tell me where (e.g. website) can I look for a single room, perhaps within a family?

Re: How to find single rooms in Switzerland?

There are many, but now I remember two:

www.homegate.ch and there look for WG-Zimmer.

The other one is the famous www.comparis.ch

http://www.comparis.ch/immobilien/marktplatz/result.aspx?kaufen-miete=mieten

Be prepared to pay 1000 CHF for your room. Regards, Martin.

Re: How to find single rooms in Switzerland?

I found only one offer for thun, 1 to 1,5 rooms, möbliert(Comparis).
Only one person is allowed , will cost around 630 chf.

Re: How to find single rooms in Switzerland?

For flatshares don't look at comparis or homegate! Go to wgzimmer.ch or wg24.ch!
1'000chf is exagerated, I'd calculate about 500-700.-/m, that is more than sufficient!

If there is a hospital in Thun try the nurses residence - they might have something free and its usually cheap

Yes you are right. When I worked there I rented easily and immediately for 1000 CHF, but you can also look for prices that go around 600 or 700 as you correctly stated, however I do not know if in those prices you find easily.

not easily for CHF 700 as students are competing for them.
