Adding the price of a new kitchen to a mortgage

I have heard that if you decide to have a new kitchen or anything else to that matter, you can get the price added to your outstanding mortgage. Is this true and has anyone any experience on this.

What do you mean by added to your mortgage? Do you want to borrow more money? If so I guess it depends on what your bank says.

I think, as Jim2007 says, it’s up to your bank and that’s the only way to get a definite answer.

Maybe but probably not if the mortgage is at a fixed rate during the time you want to do it.
