water from my ceiling

Yesterday night, I got drops of water...from my ceiling !!
I went to my upstair neighbour and everything is alright by her. What should I do ? Can i pay less my rent if they don't react swiftly ?

From own experience I can say that the neighbour above you is only one of many possible suspects... The piping in the building tend to be complex and leaking water can have strange sources. I have seen two cases:
- water from the apartment diagonally up (not the one right above you, but one to the left/right)
- water from a place two floors above you

Anyway I would immediately contact concierge and call the landlord/regie. Paying visit to few neighbours may help, but usually the ones at fault are taking their one month holidays one the other side of the planet...

If it is bad, and no landlord is available, call the local plumber, the landlord will have to cover the fees if there is a problem with its pipping. Better to get it checked while it is dripping, pouring can cause huge problems.
No you cannot reduce your monthly rent by this.
