A property manager asked me, on behalf of an owner, how to go about renting a large apartment in Baden as a WG (Wohngemeinschaft), flatshare, in English. The number of roommates could be 3 - 4.

In order to find compatible tenants, I thought of asking interested parties to fill out a questionnaire, similar to what universities might use to place students in housing on campus. This is separate from the standard rental application submitted to the owner.

Aside from the obvious questions like whether someone smokes or would they mind sharing with others who smoke, I would like to hear from others on the kinds of questions they would expect to answer (or not to answer) and what they would be looking for if they were to share a flat.

It is difficult to find affordable housing in Baden, particular for single persons who are students or on internships and limited budgets. Sharing is a good solution.
