Electricity bill / NBK

Hi. I just got my first electricity bill and there are some items I don't quite understand. Could someone help me out? It's listed as

Strom Netznutzung inkl. Abgaben
Strom Energie
Kehricht
ComNet

From google translate, I get the first two are electricity/energy use? What are the last two?
Thanks.

Kehricht = garbage (collection)
ComNet = communications network?

But why are these on your electricity bill?

I was wondering the same thing. The letter says it's from IBB Strom AG, so it seems to be the electricity company? The first two are electricity, right? And I think the garbage is covered in the rent. What is communications network? I'm so confused.

Re: Electricity bill

Is it really in your electricity bill or is it a utility surcharge / ancillary costs bill ( Nebenkosten ) ??

It does not say Nebenkosten. And I already paid Nebenkosten together with my rent to my landlord. Am I not supposed to do that?
Okay, on the bill it says the company apparently also includes garbage and ComNet company or something. But I still don't understand why I should pay garbage collection and some network.

Nor do I understand why I have to pay taxes but apparently you don't get the services without paying the fees..

Re: Electricity bill

Sometimes garbage collection, electricity, TV / Radio license, network connection ( say Cablecom analogue ) are all part of the Nebenkosten and might need a periodical adjustment to be paid apart from your monthly Nebenkosten with the rent.

I thought only water and heating are adjusted at the end of the year. Is garbage collection as well? And every two months?
Does this network connection mean TV? I think it's covered in the NK, but how do you adjust for that?
So this is the adjustment for Nebenkosten then? Hmm, maybe I'll check with my landlord.
And vwild1, I'm just trying to understand what the items are. No need to be snarky.

The first is the connection charge plus taxes.
The seconded is the energie used.
The third is a fix charge for rubbish disposal (large objects, glass, plastic bottles, paper, etc.
ComNet, TV and internet cable use.

In some towns and villages here the electricity, along with the Cable TV are controlled by the local council. The electric energie company sell to the council, who sell the electricity further to you.
The ComNet is most probably council owned.
For the council to send 1 bill with everything on it, saves a lot of time and money.

Re: Electricity bill

So I have to pay the same charge for the garbage collection besides NK every month?
And the fixed charge for internet, TV etc besides the subscription fee to Cablecom?
I have to say I'm little surprised. Oh well. Thanks guys!

Re: Electricity bill / NBK

Is the Netznutzung a one-off connection charge or does it occur every quarter?in our first bill the Netznutzung is twice the price of the electricity used! Seems a bit steep and didn't occur in Schywz. Maybe I have been Switzerlanded. Again. Just when you think you have it sorted, some agency comes along with a charge you not only didn't know existed, but also could never have imagined existed!
