Domestic boiler regulations

Iíve been told that regulations are being introduced in the next couple of years around the efficiency of domestic boilers. They thought that may of the older central heating boilers would need to be replaced as they wonít meet efficiency or emissions regulations. Is this right? It was probably third hand news by the time I heard it so could be totally wrong.

Thanks
