Issue reg washing & drying.

Hi:
I had moved into an apartment in Dec.

Now after 2 months, the washing and drying facility is being charged with the card system installed. I had specifically seen apartments which did not have such additional costs involved..

I have been trying to get in touch with the agency who manages this building and have also dropped them an email without any luck. I needed to find how they can make such changes after a tenant has moved in and that too without letting me know before I moved that such a thing was in the offing..

Can you guys let me know, what else I can do to deal with this..

Awdhil

I've never seen or heard of an apartment block offering free use of laundry facilities.

With or without a card, the cost of laundry is somehow woven into your monthly rent.

Good luck getting a response from your rental agency on that one...

Re: Issue reg washing & drying.

Hi,

Just to let you know...........I pay a small fortune for my rent and I still have to pay money for the heating etc and if there is a shortfall at the end of the year we all have to pay a portion. We have cards for the washing machines and the electricity we use for them and in our flat we get a separate bill from the electricity company.

And if we are lucky enough for a parking space to become free ........you have guessed it !!! We have to pay for that too!

If you get hold of them ask them how they intend you reimburse you for this change in the value of your rental agreement.

Of course that is why I moved into somewhere that I could have my own washer/dryer. Of course it costs a lot to have your own toys.

Good Luck,
Brian.
