Best way to find a short-term rental (weekly/monthly)?

On another thread I found this link:

http://www.aw-immo.ch/en/10_angebot/auswahl.htm

But from what I can understand, this would not be useful for finding a short-term rental (weekly/monthly).

I'm thinking of coming to Switzerland for a few months to see if I can get a contract job as a computer programmer. So I don't want to sign a long-term (1-year+) lease until I have a job.

What would be the best place to find a short-term rental on a weekly or monthly basis?

Is now such a good time to come if you don't have a definite role? The biggest banks have cut back quite a bit, although there are still some jobs out there.
Why don't you check out some of the online sites like jobserve, or the local newspaper http://www.tagesanzeiger.ch/marktplatz/stellen/ before you come
Agents will fix up all your paperwork too.

btw, I have a room going, but it may be filled by the time you get here
