Moving to Ticino [recommendation on locations?]

If you were going to move to Ticino, with two young boys and wanted to live somewhere with a life/ community, i.e. not remote, where would you go?

Re: Moving to Ticino

anywhere that's not on the side of a hill

I would choose Bellinzona or Lugano. Some places towards the Italian border would also offer benefits but cross-border activity can be high in certain areas.

Actually I had a similar question for the French part ie Canton Vaud or Valais. Where would you go if one wanted some community and social life ?
