Name of owner of a flat

Hello all - is there a way to learn the name of the owner of a specific flat in our town?

In Spain, there is a public registry you can consult, even online. Is there such a thing in Switzerland? Should we able to get this information from the Gemeinde?

Thanks,

Juan Miguel Venturello

Sorry - forgot to mention - the flat has been rented out for years.

Re: Name of owner of a flat

Use this link:
http://www.zugmap.ch/zugmap/BM3.asp
and use the information button "i".
It shows the owners info.
This is available in some Kantons including Zug.

Re: Name of owner of a flat

Thanks Flavio.

Would that be under 'Gebäudeeigentümer'? Because here, I see 'Stockwerkeigentümer' and the address of the building.

This is a 3 family house, I am looking for the owner of one of the apartments.

Cool! I own my apartment block.

Otherwise that wasn't a very helpful link.

Works for most buildings. Maybe you're the only one with a fixed phone...

I don't appear to live in my block, but then again I don't have a Swisscom line (I use cablecom digital phone).

Would that be why I'm not listed? Or maybe I opted out years ago, I really can't remember...

Can't answer for your specific case but it looks like "Gebäudeeigentümer" normally indicates the owner of the property.

Stockwerkeigentümer should be what you're looking for - it's commonhold ownership where each party owns their flat plus co-owns the communal areas

Re: Name of owner of a flat

Yes but, under 'Gebäudeeigentümer' I see 'Stockwerkeigentümer' and then the address of flat/building itself. What is Stockwerkeigentümer?

If I click on the building I live (and rent a flat in), I see the name and address of the owner (as expected).

Here, I am not seeing the name of the person/company owning the flat.

Does this mean that different people own different floors (apartments)?

Re: Name of owner of a flat

Yes, apparently two of the flats are owned by person residing in them, one of them (the one I want to know) is rented out by owner.
