Re: Viewed a house today

I'd also find out if there aren't any rules about having to, say, repair plaster using a special mixture of sheeps milk cheese, chalk, and horse hair from three speciality suppliers (typically relatives of the government officials). Yeah, I've seen too much of this stuff on TV...

Re: Viewed a house today

well. this whole thing has been going around in my mind for a while and actually, i reached a stage of analysis paralysis and my brain has just stopped working.

that i'm not jumping in with both feet is probably a very strong sign that i should proceed. however, i decided to cut the gordian knot by sticking in a low bid just now and leave it to see if i come out top bidder. i doubt it, but you never know.

will find out later this week and will let you know what happens.

Re: Viewed a house today

oh. i realised i didn't update this. i didn't win the bid - which was probably a very good thing. not sure what happened to the property - i think a developer was also interested in it. i will have to go and visit it sometime to see what has happened to it.
