I am relocating to Vevey mid-July for a new job. I have now been desperately looking for a flat for 2 month and have not found anything. Either the flats are tiny (20-35m2) or in a very bad state and they are all extremely expensive. My employer is looking at flats, sending them my dossier but as I am not yet in Switzerland, the agencies are not interested. And it seems like no one is renting privately.
I can't just arrive with my 6 big boxes in July and have no place to go!! Does anyone know of anyone who is leaving Vevey-Tour del'Peix, or does anyone know a relocation service who would help me with my search? No agency I asked was interested. Strange, isn't it? Don't they earn their money that way- charging clients one month's rent?

are you moving to vevey with the big house of chocolates? because usually there are internal boards. have you though of asking your HR rep for help?

I can recommend an excellent Bed and Breakfast in Jongny just up the hill from Vevey. Retired Nestle' couple , super nice folks. Would get you shelter while you look for a place. PM if you want their contact info.
