Etat de lieu de sortie

My girlfriend and I will move into a new apartment. She has will move out of her apartment on Saturday June 30. The Rental Agency (La Regie) informs her that the étatd de lieu will be on Monday July 2nd. The new tenant wichs to move in on Sunday. How on can she have her "état de lieu de sortie" when someone else has already moved in ?

Kind regards

Re: Etat de lieu de sortie

You must call them back & insist that they do the etat de lieu before the date they proposed. Call them and insist that it is not acceptable.

This happened to another member of the forum but she is on holiday so can't help.

Re: Etat de lieu de sortie

If someone else moves in during that short period and do damages, it is the previous renters responsability to pay for the repairs of the damages.
Take lots of photos just in case.

Re: Etat de lieu de sortie

If the new tenant wants to move in before the flat inspection, then they must basically sign a contract saying that they accept the flat in the condition it is in currently. Great news for the person moving out as they dont care about the state of the place, bit of a gamble for the new tenant though.

I did this myself in my last apartment and ended up getting stung when I moved out as I only ever had 3 keys for the place but the previous owner had signed for 4.

Did you have to pay for new locks to be installed?
