Selling property privately in Switzerland

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience of selling their Swiss property privately and would be happy to let me know what the process is? Estate agents here seem to do very little for their 3% commission [they even wanted me to take my own photos rather than make the effort to come to my house!]. It's such a lot of money, I would rather do it myself but I need to know what I have to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Tina

Re: Selling property privately in Switzerland

My friend sold his house last year with an advert on the internet.
It sold in one week at a very good price, and I think it cost him about 30fr.

Thanks, yes that was what I was planning to do, but I need to understand what I have do legally once it's sold [in place of the agent]. Or do they do nothing here except advertise the house?

Its really simple you have to phone a notariat and they draw up all papers, contracts etc. (just telling you what I was told) but when we bought it was also a private sale and the man that was selling made an appointment by the notariat and we both signed and that was that.
