Harsch Trasport - experiences?

HI All,
sorry for posting so many questions about moving, but it's just about the only thing that occupies my mind right now.

I was just wondering if any of you used Harsch Transport before? They made a really good impression when they came to do their initial visit of our place, and their offer is very very clear on "included" - "not inlcuded" in the price section.

Before I sign with them thou I thought about asking if any of you ever tried them, and what did you think of it?

Thanks
ValeC

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

I used them a few years ago and found them excellent. I've moved quite a bit in my time and I found them to be the best movers I have had. I cant really say more except that I will be using them again in a couple of month's time. If you are not moving before December I could give you an update.

Yes, used them a number of years ago and found them excellent.

They have a good reputation in the area, albeit not the cheapest in terms of cost.

I would definitely use them again for an international move.

"Harsch" Transport... doesn't translate so well to English.

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

I have seen a depot of theirs close to where I live and I have heard about there services from a number of friends of mine, but instead I used Crown Relocation, very impressive service, have used them twice so far.

Hi

Did anyone compare them to Packimpex? I got both making me an offer and Packimpex is around 40% less for the same service!

Any comments on level of quality?

Thanks

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

I'd give Harsch an A+ in terms of quality and care. No experience with the other company.

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

We also used Harsch and their service was excellent! A bit expensive though, our move from Belgium to Switzerland was double the price compared to our move from Shanghai to Belgium. Anyway, perfect service quality!

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

If you are moving within CH we used "helping hands" in Zollikon who were by Swiss standards well priced and did a super job.
For our End of Contract clean we used "Diamond Cleaning" (who have an add in the commercial section) they also attended the hand over and we sailed through getting our deposit in full back. (they were also the cheapest of 4 quotes) its a ZH based business run by a very helpfull xpat.

Re: Harsch Trasport - experiences?

We also used Harsch from Geneva to Lausanne. I never saw the bill though so I can't talk about prices.

I was happy over all with the service, especially as it was quite complicated. They had to use an outside elevator thing in a very tight spot to get our stuff through the window to a very high up 7th floor.

OT, but we're working with Harsch Relocations for our move next month. Any connection?

They seem well connected and knowledgeable.

No. We did not use their relocation services.

My only advice is to be as clear as possible with your needs and wants. But also do your own homework before hand & be ready to compromise.

Good luck with your move!
