Yes, it is the year in which the treatment was done - not the year in which you receive the bill.

The dates will be on the bill so your insurance company will subject it to your 2010 franchise unfortunately.

There's no getting away from this I'm afraid. It's yet another of those very clear-cut things in Switzerland!

Can some one tell me if I visited the Gynaecologist in December 2010 and the bill arrived in January 2011. Should I attach in 2010 insurance or 2011.

The bill should go in the time that the "service was administered", i.e. 2010.
