Do I need to get a new health insurance for my last 2 months?

So here's my problem. My health insurance is expiring end of January, and my permit is expiring end of March, and I'm leaving immediately. I asked my insurance company if they could extend it for 2 months but they said it won't be possible. I had one of those cheap student insurances. Now do I really have to go and get an expensive insurance for 2 months. I already have accident insurance form work so accidents are covered without a problem.

Can I get away with not having an insurance for 2 months?
