Insurance for Nanny

Has anyone any experience in getting insurance for their nanny/au pair?

I've had a look but can't find anything and the missus is now wanting to get it all sorted.

Any help would be appreciated

Might be something useful in here. You'll have to do a bit of digging though.

Re: Insurance for Nanny

You need to take an accident insurance out - you can do this with your insurance comapny that has your family policy.
i think you do need to employ your nanny officially tough as you need to supply a copy of her contract with what she is earning.

you also need to register with AVS and again based on her monthly salary pay a fee for unemeployemtn etc ( i think it is 6 %)
they will also sort out for you automatic bills if she is not here for 5 years she will be taxed at source (ie by her employer - so you) , you should deduct this tax from her salary tough.

it was all vey straight forward - i called the gemeinde who gave me the papers for the RAV registration

Good luck.
