problem with the accident insurance

Hey everyone,

I hope somebody can help out in this one, namely my bf had an accident during his outing organized by his office in mountains. He broke his knee ligaments and had to have an op in may. His doctor gave him prescription for a special machine for muscle stimulation (similar to those for losing fat , makes your muscle shake ) on his knee as they got very weak. He had to pay the bill and then the insurance was supposed to reimburse it (over 400 chf). Yet, the company refused to do so stating that their doc found the machine had not been necessary in his case and physio would have been enough. Now, his doctor wrote a letter that it was necessary but so far no luck. My bf was not given a choice regarding this machine, the doc asked him to use it so why should he pay for it from his own pocket? Can anybody pinpoint specific law that I could quote to get the money back? Thanks for any tip

Justyna

Re: problem with the accident insurance

Assuming your boy friend is employed by the company, he should claim from his company accident insurance, not from his health insurance. He should send the claim to his company personnel department.
