Car insurance in Switzerland

I am moving to Switzerland in January for 16 months where i will be working. I am an 18 year old with a full UK driving licence that i have had for less than a year.
I would like to find out if i am able to get car insurance out in switzerland and if my UK driving licence will be ok for the 16 months that I will be in swirtzerland. Do i need to get a swiss licence? If so, what do i need to do.

Thank you very much...

Phil.s
