SWICA / Provita KVG - basic health insurance question

Hello,

I am considering two KVG offers both from SWICa and Provita. It looks like Provita KVG is a bit cheaper than SWICA one.

Do you have any experience with Provita Krankenkaasse? Are they reliable?
Do they reimburse expenses on time? How quickly?
They are in the process of merging with SWICA, so I am trying to understand whether there is any significant difference between both KVGs.
If they will form the same company I would be interested in the cheaper offer from Provita, but......I count on your advise and past experiences.

Can you help?

If you use Comparis, there is a comparison table with a score system. You can save money and enjoy the same service if you use the HMO options.

Both Provita and Swica are reliable companies and pay back within a reasonable time. If they merge it is normal that one company owns the other but they are still 2 separate companies. Helsana for example own many different health insurance companies!

I've been with SWICA since I arrived in CH (about 16 months ago) and never had a problem with them (our twin babies were born here, everything went great). They reimbursed us on time, they cover half of the fitness center annual fees, available on the phone 24/7. They tend to be on the higher end of the range when it comes to premiums, based on comparative offers from comparis.ch, but we still decided to choose them based on positive feedback received from multiple current SWICA insured acquaintances.

If SWICA and Provita will merge, I would assume that the same level of service will be the norm for Provita as well (unfortunatelly I do not have first hand experience with them).
