Where can I get local online weather records?

Hello all,

I am looking for an (hopefully online) source for local weather records. This past summer (weekend of July 7/8) we had gone away for a few nights. When we returned we found that our awning had snapped apart. Neighbours mentioned that there had been high winds on the Saturday evening. These winds were strong enough to also knock down an extremely large metal bike stand/shed and send dirt from our flower boxes everywhere. Friends in neighbouring communities (we live in Allschwil) also mentioned high winds where they live.

Upon finally hearing back from our management company, they have informed us that their insurer (did not say which company) will not cover the repairs as there were no high wind weather events in the month of July. Obviously, I am not going to let this drop here. I would like to see for myself what the local wind speed was that evening. Mind you, we do live on a windy hill top, so I am not even sure this will help. Is this a fight worth fighting? Any other ideas on how I can take them on?

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide!

Here you go:

63 km/h gust speed isn't to be sneezed at.

Good luck!
