Cheapest health Insurance

I am 28, hopefully a healthy male, its been 5 years I have been to a GP. I moved to bern recently and still looking for a job. I heard health insurance is compulsory, would anyone know cheapest health insurance company that I can go with?

Thanks
Evan

Rates change all the time, a company that was cheap last year may quote 30% more this year.

Best to look on Comparis.ch, be aware the price quoted on the internet may change when you get the quote in writing.

If you get 2 simular quote, have a look at their website how much is in English, it will give you an idea of how easy it will be for you to deal with them. Talk to their help line too.

Re: Cheapest health Insurance

As others have said using the comparis.ch comparison site will quickly find the cheapest insurer.

I had no troubles at all with Groupe Mutuel last year, but I switched to Assura to make a saving of close to CHF 3000 for a family of four. Quite a considerable saving.

However, when it comes to making an expenses claim with Assura, that is another matter

Even trying to find a telephone number on their website takes some serious searching !

Rant over.

Re: Cheapest health Insurance

I agree, I compared all of them, made a template and sent an email to ten cheapest companies. Got some replies and cheapest that they are able to offer me with 2500 access is 239 with accident insurance. I am not really sure if this is cheapest available out there.

Re: Cheapest health Insurance

Hey,

I have the same situation: 27 years old but female. As far as I know women even pay more for insurance.

I checked comparis and read some recommendations... From the 1st May I just joined to KPT.

I have to pay 270 CHF monthly. I think this is one of the cheapest options I had. However I live in Basel and the fees are different canton by canton.

So far I am satisfied with the consultant who helped me to fill the papers. I speak German, I don't know if they are similarly helpful in English or not...

Good luck!
