Advice on exemption from compulsory insurance (using EHIC)

Hello, I'll stay in Switzerland for 6 months, in order to do an internship in a local company. I've been sent by it a document to get exemption from the compulsory health insurance (this one: http://www.kvg.org/vollzug/formulare/default.htm, one of the 4 in the first row, 'Kanton Aargau'). I contacted the Gemeinsame Einrichtung KVG, and they told me that, as an intern, I can be exemped by checking the 1st box of that document, and using my EHIC as proof of a valid basic health insurance. The only drawback is that I'll have to pay in advance all the medical expenses (drugs, visitations, hospitalizations, etc...), and then claim reimbursement by sending the original receipts of payment to them. Do you think I should go with this, or better open a 'real' insurance, like the ones tailored to students? I know I can open it just for 6 months, I'll just have to prove that I've left the country once I'll want to close it. Thanks a lot

It's a risk factor.

If you end up in hospital you'll need to be able to finance the costs of thousands of francs a day.

If you have that equity available, then fine

Otherwise buy the insurance, it makes life much easier and if you are young is not expensive.
