Other Drivers

Hello,

Hope someone can help. I am looking to take out car insurance. Filled in details on a couple of sites to get a quote.

On a number of them, I am not asked for details of other drivers of the car. Is this normal?

Thanks,
Keith

Re: Other Drivers

I think this is standard in Switzerland - you insure the car, not specific drivers. So basically, once the car is insured, any legally qualified driver can drive it.

Cheers Stephen. That's what I was thinking. They want to know your life story in Ireland before they insure you

Do you know if my wifes details should at least be included on whatever document states my ownership of the car?

Re: Other Drivers

No, it doesn't matter at all.

Also, there is no document which states the owner, only the person registering/insuring the vehicle (who may or may not be the owner).
