Same insurance policy for both cars?

Hello guys,

We are importing a car in the next month and would like to know if there is a possibility to share the car insurance with the one I have already in switzerland, like it happens with the plates.

So the idea is only use one car at a time before selling the "already in switzerland" one.

Thanks in advance!

With same plates, it is possible. However the premium is calculated on the more expensive of the two.

Re: Same insurance policy for both cars?

yes , after importing it should not be an issue. I believe depending on where you reside you pay a "premium" on top of existing insurance.

There are also several treads on this topic that can make you a whole lot wiser...

Re: Same insurance policy for both cars?

2 or more cars - 1 license plate - same insurance also offers some tips.
