Health Insurance: Should I switch from Private to Flexible?

Am very tempted to switch from our current full private supplementary hospital insurance to the flexible model where we can choose at time of hospitalization which ward to go to. Ofcourse, I pay bit more (there is a cap, say 3000) but the savings in premium are pretty substantial (circa 1500).

My reluctance is they may not accept us as private at later date if we wanted to move to private for whatever reason, while right now we have full private coverage.

We are pretty healthy and did not have to draw on this insurance.

Any advice or experiences, gratefully received. Thanks.
