Health Insurance - starts on entry not actually when you get your B-Permit?
Hello All,
Myself and my partner have relocated to Switzerland as two self-employed individuals. We entered Switzerland on Dec 1st 2015 - however we only finally got our B-Permits delivery on March 7th 2016.
Up until this point we were not entitled to our health insurance becuase we didn't have our B-Permit in our hands. Now they wish to start our insurance premimum from Dec 1st 2015 not March 1st 2016 which is the only month I have been able to have entitlement to access health services here in Switzerland.
How can they charge for services you couldn't access? How can this be legal? We are currently questioning our health insurer about this - any assistance or guidance to Swiss legislation would be appreciated by forum members.
Many thanks for any help.
