Insurance for disabled person prior to moving to Switzerland

I have a physical disability due to a bad accident last year, and I am now moving to Switzerland. Does anyone know:

1. What kind of insurance coverage can I get sufficient coverage for my condition? I am now covered under an expat insurance, which it expires as soon as I move to Switzerland.

2. How should I get in contact with the relevant insurance companies/government agencies to discuss my condition?

Thank you so much for your help.

Basic, compulsory insurance. No question asked.
If you need expensive medications and ongoing treatment decide on a provider which offers "tiers payant" and chose franchise accordingly it makes best sense.

You've lived here before so should know how the health insurance works. Basic insurance covers ALL including pre-existing conditions, supplementary is at the decresion of the insurer. It all depends on what you mean by "sufficient".

As for which agencies, I suggest starting with your gemeinde/commune admin office. They may be able to point you in the right direction.
