Holiday Owner Insurance

I notice on AirBnb Switzerland is not covered by their host-protection-insurance. Can any one recommend a company for this insurance?
I am an owner of an apartment in Graubunden (my holiday apartment, I live in UK) and want to start to occasionally rent it to holiday makers. Particularly I want to insure my self for liability in case the renter has an accident in the apartment, as well as contents. Thanks in advance.

Re: Holiday Owner Insurance

I suggest you use www.comparis.ch to find some insurance companies and then contact them to see what insurance, if any, would apply. From what you suggest personal liability would seem to fit the bill but a) not sure it would be applicable in this rental situation and b) you may need to be a resident of Switzerland to get it. There may be other insurances required for this type of rental too.

Re: Holiday Owner Insurance

Quite often the insurance for a place you do not live in permanently will be much higher.

If you do not mention that and something would happen, they could cancel your insurance so ask for insurance for a holiday place
