Quad biking insurance

Hi there,

Trying to find someone who will insure me for a quad biking (425cc) holiday in Greece. Anybody have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance,
Paul

Re: Quad biking insurance

What sort of insurance do you mean? One might assume you're worried about accidents, but you should be covered against any accident by your employers (or your own, if you have no employer) accident insurance. If you're not sure just ask them about how it works.

Other than that any standard travel insurance would do (although personally I never feel the need, even for sailing trips in far-flung places).

Re: Quad biking insurance

Thanks for the reply Ace, For my own personal injury it's fine but I was thinking about if I smash into someone's car I wasn't sure if the employer insurance would pay out for that as well? Does it normally cover all 3rd party liability costs?

the holiday insurance companies I've found so far don't seem to cover it - for quad biking at least.

Assuming the vehicles are road legal then they will also have proper 3rd-party insurance, which will cover any such liability resulting from a road accident. Greece is an EU member and a signatory to the various road traffic agreements, some of which predate the EU, as is Switzerland as well. So there can't be any question of personal liability, just as there would not be if you rented a car from your local Hertz office.
