Health insurance - better price possible with brokers?

Maybe a stupid question, but I was using an app and I saw better offers for the insurances in there than what I see if I go to the webpages (example: assura 260vs 230, sympany 290 vs 240 for the same policy, gender ZIP code and birth date).

Are the dealers able to offer better deals than the 'public' ones? Or makes no sense or difference?

Any experience?

for more info the app I was checking is call 'brocando'

Re: Health insurance - better price possible with brokers?

The premiums for basic health insurance are non-negotiable, fixed, and must be approved by the federal government.

Here the official website to check https://www.priminfo.admin.ch/de/praemien

Anyone which claims that they can offer a considerable cheaper basic insurance than listed above is simply a complete dishonest cheat. A fraud.

The only option to save a bit is to pay it annually in advance or biannually instead every month. This might give you a saving of 1 to 2 %.

That is how they lure you in to make contact, and than they are ready to sell you the same product for the same price, and as a bonus they will try to push you into some additional insurances since that is where their business model is.

The pictures on a lot of the insurance websites show people who are not me, so I wonder am I covered or is it false advertising? I reversed searched the images and some of them are stock photos, so they're probably not even covered by the companies! Should I report this to the police?
