Accident insurance removal

If you have accident insurance added to your health insurance, can you remove it any time during the year? My husband won’t need it from February due to a new job, but needs it for January.

Yes you can. Our son removed it in august due to having cover elsewhere. He sent proof of being covered elsewhere with his removal request but I’m not sure if that was strictly necessary.

Re: Accident insurance removal

Yes you can but not retroactively. So don't miss the deadline to do it or you will have to pay anyway.

I don't understand what you mean. If we tell them before Feb 1st that we don't need it from Feb onwards, is that not ok? Obviously if we tell them mid February we'd have to pay for February.

Yes that is what I mean. You need to do it before the month starts.

You may want to let it run until the end of February, IIRC the employer's accident insurance doesn't cover the first few work days. Enquire?
