Health Insurance -working in Switzerland but living in Germany

Hi!

Please could someone point me in the right direction ?

I am a Brit living in Germany and working in Switzerland. My employer doesn't provide health insurance; I cannot buy a Swiss policy as I don't live in CH; the one quote I had for a private German policy was 360/ month with an annual XS of 1,200!

I have been told that my Swiss employers have to provide me with health insurance cover. Is this true?

If not could someone point me in the direction of affordable cover?

Thank you very much !!

Hi
i,think ur health insurance is valid which u have made in german to all europ,
only thing is u should ask your insurance company copy of insurance, that is more secure for u becose if any sicknesses happend u can saw them ur copy,or insurance card that u insured for all over europ.

i am swiss i have insured in swiss but if i go to europ or any countrys of the world if anything happend my insurance company will take all kost and they will pay me back which i have paid my self.

regards

There are two parts to health insurance in CH: private 'sickness' insurance (if you have a flu and go to the doctor for a check up) AND Accident insurance (if you fall and break your leg) YOU personally have to sort out the private insurance, your CH employer HAS to provide accident cover for their employees. i don't know how that works if you are not resident in CH.

I would ring up the the health insurance people at the federal level and see what they suggest. You are certainly not the first person to be in such a situation.
