Cheap & Reliable Health Insurance for Non-Eu Intern

Hi there,

I am a 24 year old non-European master student, who will be interning for 3 months at the UN in Geneva as part of my master course requirements. I see on some previous posts that certain health insurance plans are not recognised by particular cantons.

Any non-EU intern/student out there who can suggest a cheap and reliable company to sign on to? The best I've found so far is with Swiss Care, approx CHF 80). Does anyone know if this company is recognised in Geneva?

Thanks very much for your help.

hello

swisscare is recognized in the geneva canton, quite a few of people (in geneva and lausanne) that I know use that and have had no problems.

It is, as far as I know, one of the cheapest insurances that you could get.

You can stay for 3 months on a tourist visa. You'll only need basic travel insurance (since you're non-EU).

Might as well go for the swisscare. For CHF80 per month, you can't find a travel insurance as good. Even their own travel insurance costs more (last time I checked).
